Good weight loss is predicated on eating several small meals throughout the day. Breakfast is the most important meal for weight loss as it jump starts your digestion for the day and provides you with energy. Try to eat five smaller meals evenly spaced throughout the day. This will keep your metabolism on an even, constant “go” and will lead to a steady weight loss – the best way to lose weight. Finally, your diet diary will probably reveal that you eat later at night. Most Americans ‘snack’ shortly before bedtime. This is not part of a healthy weight loss plan. Your last meal of the day should be at least two hours before bedtime. Not only will this aid in your weight loss, you will actually sleep better!

Even in moderation, exercise will aid you in your weight loss goals. It is not necessary to run a marathon or lift weights two hours a day, it only matters that you are active. Walk during your lunch break at work or in the early evening hours. Stretch in the morning. Just get moving. You will feel better; this is the best way to lose weight. The second thing you need to add it water. Add a lot of it. It is suggested that adults drink eight, eight ounce glasses of water per day. Most Americans do not drink nearly enough water. Water keeps you hydrated, flushes impurities and aids in digestion. Water is probably the single greatest thing you can do to aid in healthy weight loss.

Healthy weight loss should be the goal when you are attempting to find the best way to lose weight. Avoid fad diets and pills, opting instead to change your diet, eat in moderation and exercise. These simple guidelines are guaranteed to aid you in healthy weight loss.

    You are right on about moderation and exercise. Both essential to long term weight loss. One thing I would add as an essential is addressing the mental/emotional component. In order to make any long term change we have to change what is going on in our minds. Otherwise the habit changes won’t have a lasting effect.

    As a girl with self-control and overeating problems, I thought it was absolutely impossible for me to not eat for ten days.
